  1. Mike was a great guy. Every time I saw him we exchanged whatever joke(s) we had heard since our last meeting. I last saw him at the Kings Island Open wherr was a TD. Mike will be missed in the chess community as well as by those who knew him away from the game.

    Uncle Mike

    What a guy you were.
    So many memories of you.
My first school years when you visited with the family to the UK, took us out to get fish and chips for 6 and ended up spending nearly £100.

The time we flew to the Isle of White for a cake and a coke, flew to Jersey for dinner as Pilot and navigator.

Shooting guns whilst at your friends property in Cincinnati.

Taking ‘375B’ up alongside that beautiful weather front near Blue Ash at night, then we chickened landed before grabbing some ice cream at Dairy Queen (boys dream).

So many more .. not enough time nor space to write them all.

You have joined a lot of your friends, family and colleagues from all walks of life.

    Gone but never forgotten ...
    Always in my heart …

    Bill from the UK

    P.S.

One day, we’ll both fly that arctic route we spoke of … despite all those who doubted us .. Hah :)

    1. His mom Peg Anders was British but his father Willard was American. Willard was my great uncle and Mike was my second cousin.
