Stepping Down

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I tender my resignation effective today February 9, 2012. I assure you my fellow club members that I will come back stronger than today. Thank you for helping me improve my skills by giving me tough games.

Gelvic, you will be greatly missed. Thanks for helping me improve the "biological" part of my game. Stay in touch and once you get settled and are able to play chess again post a game on the site now and then. We'll leave the porch light on for you.

Gelvic, I'm going to miss you and will look forward to your return. You made a huge difference in the confidence level of the children you worked with in my school and I will never forget your generosity of time and talent to lend a hand. It's difficult to get serious chess players of your caliber to commit to spending time w/ kids who may or may not have a talent for chess and their parents really appreciate how you built their sense of self worth. I wish you well.

I agree with Jerry and Stephanie--well said! Gelvic, you're a great guy and I will miss seeing and playing you at the club! You are certainly a tough player and you have a lot of potential to go a lot further. I hope one day you can return and be with us again in E-town. But you can keep sending us money each year and keep your membership (ha ha, just kidding!). Stay in touch and keep us on your Favorites! Best wishes.
