I didn't consider the 1...Qxc3 line, which is a classic removal of the guard theme. Here's some other things I considered:
1.Qe5 f6 2.Qxf6
A) 2...Re7 3.Bxd5 +-
B) 2...Qc7 3.Rxd5 exd5 4.Bxd5+ Be6 5.Bxe6+ Rxe6 6.Qxe6+ +-
C) 2...Qd7 3.Rxd5 exd5 4.Bxd5+ Qe6 (4...Re6 5.Qf8# or 4...Qxd5 5.Qg7#) 5.Qg7#
D) 2...Qb7 3.Rxd5 exd5 4.Bxd5+ +-
On A) 2...Re7 3.Qf8# of course is best.
